KMC Mayor Balendra Shah leaves for Cannes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 15: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah left for France on Tuesday to participate in the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

As per the official Facebook of the metropolis, Mayor Shah is participating at the Cannes in an invitation of Cannes mayor David Lisnard.

 Both Cannes City and Kathmandu are listed at the UNESCO’s ‘Creative Cities’ film category.

As mentioned in the social site, Mayor Shah will participate in various programmes of the festival.

 During his stay in France, he will be a meeting with Mayor Lisnard and the festival director. 

He will be a major participant in the festival’s red carpet and premiere events.

 Similarly, he will observe the audio-visual content creation chain.  Likewise, a reception will be held in his honour at the Multimedia Library in Cannes, informed KMC.

 The festival will last for 12 days. Among them, Mayor Shah will return to the country on May 20 after participating in the 3-day programme.
