‘Mongolian Heart’ to perform in Dubai

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 2: Famous band ‘Mongolian Heart’, which heated the atmosphere with its performances in Australia, South Korea and Pokhara in the past, is now gearing up for a big concert in Dubai, UAE. 

The concert is a part of celebration of the opening of Club SK Seven by Nepali investor Saroj Bista with an investment of Rs. 2.5 million in Bardubai, UAE, informed Bobby Lama, the band’s manager and guitarist through a press release. 

The concert is scheduled to be performed on the occasion of the grand opening of Club SK Seven on Saturday.

“Nepalis are promoting Nepali music all over the world through various means. When a big club is opened in Dubai with the investment of a Nepali friend, Nepali music will also be played there. It will start with us,” said Lama.

The club’s investor is Saroj Bista from Kathmandu, who has been doing business in Dubai for 13 years.

The band, which has singer Raju Lama as its ‘frontman’, is set to present its popular old songs at the event.

This marks the band’s third concert in the UAE.

 Founded 32 years ago in 1992, the band has Raju Lama as its famous singer. 

 Loved for folk, slow rock, and pop melody music, this band has Bobby Lama on rhythm guitar, Santosh Thapa Magar on drums, Bhupendra Bajracharya on lead guitar, Pawan Kapali on bass, Binay Maharjan on flute and Baburaja Maharjan on Madal. 

Some famous songs by Mongolian Heart include ‘Bandalpariko Desh Baat’,  ‘Mero Nepal’, ‘Sumnima’, ‘Ma Maya Laundinun’, ‘Halla Chalechha, ‘Timi Lai Dekher’, ‘Parkhaima’, ‘Sayad Timro Baatoma’, ‘Ubho Ubho Khasa’.
