Nepal fashion festival set to showcase country’s fashion landscape

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 28: Fashion Network Nepal, led by artist and model Prasant Tamrakar, is organising Nepal Fashion Festival, a pioneering event in the country’s fashion scene. 

Talking to The Rising Nepal, Tamrakar said that the festival aims to link Nepal’s skilled manpower to international markets. 

The festival is scheduled from May 24 to May 26 at Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The festival will underscore youth and women empowerment, 

said Tamrakar. 

The festival includes the area of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle with a keen focus on showcasing Nepalese designers, indigenous products, and brands, fostering market connections, and 

empowering sellers. 

The three-day programme includes fashion runways, panel discussions, seminars and a fashion photo exhibition.

On Saturday, the event organised a model audition in the presence of Jurima Kalakar and model Prasant Tamrakar, beauty entrepreneur Deepa Gurung, Miss Nepal Earth Dr. Shirisa Shrestha, fashion designer Yuvi Thapa, and photographer Raj Bhai Suwal, 

among others.
