President approves mobilization of army in by-elections

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 25: President Ramchandra Paudel has approved mobilizing the Nepali Army for the by-elections to be held on April 27.

According to the President's Office's Spokesperson Sailaja Regmi Bhattarai, the President has permitted the mobilisation of the Nepali Army for the by-election for the assembly of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly to be held on Saturday, April 27. 

The President permitted the deployment of the Nepali Army as per Article 66(2) following the recommendation of the National Security Council on April 22 and the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on the same day.
