By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 25: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that special strength will be given to the integrated infrastructure construction and expansion and consumption of information technology in the 16th fifth-year plan.
Inaugurating the meeting of the National Development Council on Thursday, PM said that the 16th planning will focus on commercialization in agriculture, production-centric industries, employment-oriented education and improving the quality of education.
The PM said, “There is a need to prioritize most the promotion of tourism, accretion in international job opportunities, along with the development of the unified settlement. There is a need to stress the internal and foreign investment accretion, and to develop newness and entrepreneurship by making youth-centric initial investment.”
Saying that the collaboration, support and coordination of all three tiers of government is mandatory for the successful implementation of the plan, PM said that the revenue needs to be smartly mobilized for managing enough investment and public expenditure.
PM Prachanda said, “A humungous investment is predicted from different sources including the private sector within the period of planning. The investment, production, and employment accretion made within the planning period with targets, aims and strategy to make this sector effective is expected to expand economic opportunities.”
