By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 11: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City has started the construction of a disabled-friendly bridge with an elevator over the ring road at Kusunti.
The Mayor of the Metropolis Chiri Babu Maharjan laid the foundation for a disabled-friendly overhead bridge along with the facility of lift.
The Road Division had given an agreement to Metropolis for the construction of the overhead bridge in August.
Even though the local bodies do not have jurisdiction over roads over eight meters, the metropolis had asked permission to build a bridge on the Kusunti ring road as major road accidents occur in the area.

The bridge being built at Lalitpur Metroplois-13 will be concluded in a year.
Ganesh KC, ward chair-13 said, “Accidents will reduce now. This is a matter of happiness for us.”
