Ruling coalition remains intact for five years: Minister Saud

Bhairahawa, March 2: Foreign Minister and Nepali Congress leader NP Saud claimed that the existing ruling coalition remains intact for five years.

At an interaction organized by the NC regional working committee here today, Minister Saud viewed the ruling alliance must be continued for the protection of democracy. It is also imperative for political parties and the country's stability, according to him.

"It is normal to have Cabinet members changed in the government mandated by the people. The reshuffle is done in consensus," he informed.

On a different note, the NC leader said the government is committed to operating the Gautam Buddha International Airport as soon as possible. The government had put forth its views seriously with India for its cooperation to this end, he said, adding that discussions were held on the modality of its operation.

The government is striving to receive route permits for aircraft. Talks with India were going on for additional routes as the present Simara route was already busy. (RSS)
