‘Dhaniramko Goru’ to be staged in Pokhara

By Our Correspondent,Kaski, Jan. 31: The play ‘Dhaniramko Goru,’ presented by Padma Prem Theatre, is scheduled to be staged in Pokhara from February 1 to 10.  Directed by Kapil Sharma, the play was written by Kedar Nath Paudel.

 Sabitra Pathak (Sabu), the director of Padma Prem Theatre, announced that the play would be staged at Padma Prem Theatre in Pokhara every day from February 1 to 10 at 5 pm, with an additional show on Saturday at 1 pm.

Writer Sharma emphasised that the play is a pure representation of Nepaliness, and ‘Dhaniramko Goru’ reflects the story of the people. 

The narrative aims to shed lights on the genuine problems faced by rural society and farmers, added Paudel.

Dil Prasad Gurung takes on the main character in this 75-minute-long play, portraying the role of Dhaniram.

 Joining Gurung, the cast includes Bibhu Bhushal, Sabu Pathak, Jyoti Hamal, Shitala Adhikari, Suman Karki, Ramhari Adhikari, Dibya Amrit, Arjun Gurung, Pawan BK, and Abhishek Bhusal. Established on September 15 last year, Padma Prem Theater is presenting its first play with ‘Dhaniramko Goru.’
