Rejina makes a comeback in silver screen after 11 years

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 27: The cast lineup for the film ‘Modibeni,’ which is currently in preparation for shooting, has been finalised. Amar Pratap Shrestha is set to make his debut in film from this project. Currently, the unit is conducting an acting workshop. 

Shrestha, known for his roles in two plays at Ojas Theatre, has also appeared in advertisements and a web-series titled ‘Preetko Reet.’

Making a comeback after 11 years, actress Rejina Upreti, whose last film 'Baradan' was released in 2013, will be part of the cast.  Rejina has an extensive background, having served as vice president and senior vice president in the artist association for two terms.

 During this period, she continued to engage in acting through music videos, commercials, and short films. 

In ‘Modibeni,’ Rejina will share the screen with actor Dilip KC.

Furthermore, seasoned actor Saroj Khanal will also play a role in the film, alongside Kamalmani Nepal, Jeevan Bhattarai, Saroj Aryal, Anamika Lamichhane, Sneh Bhattarai, and others who were selected through auditions.

 The film is directed by Shankar Koirala and produced by Dinest Entertainment, with Dilip KC serving as the producer and Hari Shrestha as the co-producer.  The screenplay is written by Anand Bikram Chhetri. The storyline is set in the Modibeni area of Parbat district, encompassing a blend of events from 35-40 years ago to the present day.  The shooting of the film is scheduled to commence on January 30.
