8th Young Scientists Summit to be held on February 5-6

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 26: Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI) and Uniglobe Secondary School/College (UGSS) are going to jointly organize the 8th Young Scientists Summit (YSS-2024) at Uniglobe SS/College, Kamaladi on February 5-6.

The event will be organized in collaboration with Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science, and technology, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), National Innovation Center (NIC), UNESCO- Nepal, and Research and Development Society, Nepal (RDS), and Science Teachers Association of Nepal (STAN), according to the press note issued by the organiser.

Young researchers from grades VIII to XII can take part in the summit from across the nation. Young researchers will present their scientific ideas and research works in Six different categories: Engineering and Robotics, Life Sciences, Chemical & Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science (including Artificial Intelligence) and Indigenous Knowledge and Technology, read the press note.

Female and differently able researchers are highly encouraged for the participation in the Young Scientists Summit (YSS). The YSS-2024 winners will be selected based on their extended abstract, video clip, and poster and an oral presentation.

The novelty of the work will be the main criterion of the selection of project for the award. Young Scientist titles will be awarded to winners in six distinct categories with Certificates and Medals, read the press note.

The award winner in each category will be eligible to apply for participation in the 13 th Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS). The YSS Awardees Young Scientists Summit (YSS-2024) will be provided with other research and networking opportunities at both national and international level.
