BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, Jan.1: Those who passed by may not be in touch again
If in touch, they may not be as they were
We could keep them near
By grasping with the embrace of smile
But never did we think in that way
These lines of poetry are by young poet Nirvik Jung Rayamajhi who has come up with his debut anthology of poetry 'Tyasari Ta Kahilyai Sochiena' (Never Did I Think In That Way).
Famous poets Shyamal, Bhupal Rai and Momila Joshi released the book amid a function in the capital on Saturday.
Shyamal found creative lunacy within Nirvik while reading his poetry. “Normal people can do only normal things but for the creation, you must have creative madness,” he said. He assumed that the book would be a powerful intervention on the status quo.
Poet and Chancellor of Nepal Academy Rai got the promising talent in Nirvik's poetry while Momila felt celebrating the festival of poetry while reading the poetry by Rayamajhi.
“His poetry has the rich talent to express more in few words,” she opined.
London-based poet and journalist Rayamajhi has many poems, essays and news reports to his credit. The book consists of 50 poems of diverse flavours.
Published by Kalam Publications, Kathmandu, the book costs Rs. 375.
