By TRN Online, Jajarkot, Dec 28: The Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) has distributed shelter kits to quake-affected people in Rukum Paschim and Jajarkot.
The social organization has distributed shelter kits to 275 households, including CGI Sheets and fixers. 165 households in Jajarkot Nalgad-6, and 110 households in Rukum Paschim, Aathbiskot-14, received essential materials for shelter construction, generating 2000 person-days of employment through debris cleaning.

Furthermore, it has supported digital registration, risk communication messaging for 1300 families, psychosocial counseling, safeguarding orientation, assistive devices (16 wheelchairs, 25 crutches, 40 back support belts, and 5 hearing aids for disabled individuals), and nutritional food packages for 145 lactating women in Nalgad-6 and Aathbiskot-14, according to a press note issued by the RRN.
Acknowledging the intensifying cold in earthquake-affected areas, RRN also provided winterization kits (Blanket, P-foam, sweater) to 780 families of Nalgad, wards 1, 6, 10, 11, 13 of Jajarkot and 520 families of Aathbiskot-14 of Rukum Paschim.
Leading the Karnali Humanitarian Support Initiative (KHUSI) in partnership with Mercy Corps supported by UKAID and Start Fund Network, RRN has been collaborating with the Government of Nepal, DDMCS, and Local Governments of Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim.
