Dharan (Sunsari), Dec 23: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, has said the government has been carrying out activities, keeping the promotion of good governance and service delivery in top priority.
At a programme organised by the Sunsari chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists at Dharan today, Minister Sharma reminded although freedom of expression is ensured in democracy, no one has the right to speak against the norms and values of the constitution.
Sharing that the incumbent government was working as per people's aspirations, she mentioned that the remaining task of transitional justice would be concluded soon in collaboration and consensus of all political parties.
The Communications Minister shared that the government was planning to provide incentives to the media sector, citing media sector also faced an economic crisis like other sectors.
On the occasion, journalists submitted a memorandum to the Minister, demanding the formation of a Journalist Academy. (RSS)
