By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Dec. 21: The shooting of ‘Mahajatra’ has been going on at Khulamanch, Kathmandu. Director Pradip Bhattarai said that due to the lack of a proper shooting studio, they were shooting three different scenes simultaneously in Khulamancha. One of the scenes shot shows actor Arun Chhetri and model Ashma Vishwakarma dancing to the song ‘Kya Ramro’.
The song, featuring lyrics by Eknarayan Bhandari is choreographed by Kaviraj Gahatraj, while Ashish Aviral has composed music and Asmita Adhikari and Ashish have the vocals.
Meanwhile, the climax scene is also being shot on the same stage.
The star-studded cast includes actors Haribansha Acharya, Bipin Karki, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha, Barsha Raut, and others, with over 100 choruses contributing to the song.
Director Bhattarai said that the song was crafted for promotional purposes, including all the available artists in the song. Producer Max Dipesh Khatri said that after completing the shooting, the team plans to initiate post-production collaboration.
The shooting was expected to conclude on Wednesday evening, adhering to the predetermined schedule.
‘Mahajatra’, the third instalment in the successful series following ‘Jatra’ and ‘Jatrai Jatra’, addresses the challenges encountered while pursuing dreams to enhance life and seize opportunities. Director Bhattarai highlighted that the film combines elements of laughter and tears to convey a compelling narrative.
The film features a diverse casts, including Arjun Jung Shahi, Prakash Ghimire, Rajaram Paudel, Praween Khatiwada, Divya Dev, Suman Karki, Shishir Bangdel, Gaumaya Gurung and Arbin Khadka.
MSM Entertainment has already acquired the international screening rights for the film, produced by Yagyashwar Poudel in collaboration with Max Dipesh Khatri.
The film is scheduled to be released worldwide on March 22 next year.
The film’s cinematography is handled by Purushottam Pradhan while Kumar Maharjan serves as the fight director.
