Prammod Agrahari, Malika Mahat doing ‘Pagla Ghoda’

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 18:The play ‘Pagla Ghoda’ is set to be staged at Mandala Theatre from December 28 to January 20. 

The play in the presentation of Theatre Aakar will be staged every day except on Mondays. Additionally, there will be two shows on Saturdays.

The play that narrates the story of renowned Indian playwright Badal Sarkar was translated into the Nepali language to present on stage.

 Badal Sarkar was known for his progressive, anti-establishment plays in the 1970s.

Shiv Khand Thakuri translated Sarkar’s play into the Nepali language, with director Ashant Sharma assisting him as the article supervisor.

The director of the play is Ghanshyam Shrestha. 

In light of the recent increase in youth suicides for various reasons, director Shrestha expressed that the play aims to address this sensitive issue through art and raise awareness among the audience.

The cast comprises top-notch actors from the stage, including Prammod Agrahari, Malika Mahat, Ashant Sharma, Bijay Tamrakar, Bimba Adhikari, and others.

 Sushma Koirala serves as the assistant director, and Shankar Bhandari is the stage manager of the play.
