Nepali Congress has entrusted party president Sher Bahadur Deuba with the responsibility
to select candidates for the National Assembly election from the party.
A meeting of the central work execution committee meeting held today at
the party head office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, made such a decision.
NC leader Min Bahadur Bishwokarma informed that the meeting decided to
register the party for taking part in the National Assembly election and entrust President
Deuba with the responsibility to nominate the candidates from the party.
The party's principal secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel has been tasked with
management for the party registration and election.
The meeting also decided to hold the meeting of the central working
committee on 28 December, and also draw the government's attention for not
distributing the relief amount of Rs. 50,000 to quake victims to construct
temporary housing.
As per the decision, the NC will carry a Special Internal Campaign from
1-30 January 2024.
Similarly, the meeting decided to hold the Mahasamiti meeting of the
party from 19- 22 February 2024, at Godavari Hall, Godavari, Kathmandu.
