Prohibitory order imposed in Mahendranagar for 7 days

By Awinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Dec 14: A seven days prohibitory order has been imposed in Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur district.

After a dispute took place between political parties about whether to permit to place of statues in the Sambidhan Chowk vicinity, the District Administration Office Kanchanpur imposed a prohibitory order to maintain peace.

On the recommendation of the District Security Committee as per the Local Administration Act 2028, 6 (3A) prohibitory order has been imposed at Sambidhan Chowk and up to major road areas of the statue of Dasharath Chand, and in the west from Sambidhan Chowk to Madan Bhandari's statue.

CDO Gopal Kumar Adhikari informed that in specific areas gatherings of more than five people, organised assemblies and among other activities have been restricted.
