Damauli, Nov 29: Two among the 36
people injured in a bus accident that occurred at Ghansikuwa, Byas Municipality-12
of Tanahu district, this morning have died.
The bus with registration number
plate Ga 1 Kha 7895 veered off the road. The bus was heading
towards Pokhara from Dharan.
Those killed in the accident are
45-year-old Hasta Rai of Sagurigadhi rural municipality-9, Dhankuta district and
50-year-old Top Bahadur Magar whose address could not be ascertained, said
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Bahadur Khand at the District Police
Office Tanahu.
Rai died at Ratnahari Hospital and
Magar at Damauli Hospital, DSP Khand said. Preety Yadav, 15, of Mahadev-6,
Saptari district has been discharged from hospital after primary treatment
while the remaining 33 injured are receiving treatment.
Nine among the injured, including
the bus driver, 23-year-old Homlal Palli Magar of Sarumaharani-5, Pyuthan and
the bus helper, 30-year-old Ajit Pariyar of Pokhara Metropolitan City, have
been taken to Pokhara for further treatment, according to police. (RSS)
