New mother dies of cold in quake-hit Jajarkot

Jajarkot, Nov 27: A new mother died of cold in Jajarkot district on Sunday night.    
    
The deceased has been identified as Sharmila Chadara, 25, of Nalgad municipality-8 in Jajarkot district.    
    
She was living with her one-month-old infant under tarpaulin sheet after her house was damaged by earthquake, said chairperson of Nalgad-8, Tej Bahadur Singh.    
    
An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale with its epicentre at Ramidanda of Jajarkot district occurred on November 3 where 154 people lost their lives and 346 were injured.    
    
Similarly, 26,557 private houses were completely damaged and 35,455 houses suffered partial damages from the earthquake.  (RSS)
