Corruption case filed against three including chairperson of forest user group

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 22: The corruption case of Rs 915,280 has been filed against three people including Chandra Singh Lama, Chairperson of the Dharapani Hile Community Forest User Group of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-4, Kavrepalanchok.

Bhola Dahal, Spokesperson of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) said that money was embezzled from the bank account of the forest group by the Chairperson Lama, Secretary Sangeeta Chaulagain and Treasurer Madhav Prasad Chaulagain. All three of them signed up to collect embezzled money. 

The charge sheet has been filed by the CIAA at the Special Court, Kathmandu, as per the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 (2002 A.D) against the three accused, demanding to recover the embezzled amount of Rs 915,280.
