Kathmandu, Nov 15: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has said social unity would be maintained by enhancing social harmony and tolerance through the original culture and festivals of various religious communities in Nepal.
In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Bhai Tika, the second biggest festival of Hindu people today, the leader said the diverse religious culture, costumes, art, and literature of the Nepali society carries the pride of the nation.
Mentioning that the festivals of all caste communities unite Nepalis and connect them culturally, he expressed the hope that social brotherhood, coexistence and mutual cooperation would consolidate national unity.
He also stressed the need for preserving language, literature, art, culture and original festivals of all communities while wishing happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepali people at home and abroad. (RSS)
