By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.10: A corruption case of Rs 125,000 has been filed against three people including Surveyor Dev Narayan Thakur of the Survey Department, Bhadrapur, Jhapa.
Bhola Dahal, Spokesperson at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), said that the defendants embezzled Rs 125,000 and 70,000 in cash, and 55,000 in a cheque, and were arrested after the bribe-taking.
In the investigation, it was revealed that Surveyor Thakur, Subash Chandra Yadav and Bichauliya Yadav together asked for the amount illegally with the service recipient in order to approve road from land measurement
According to the commission, a charge sheet was filed in the Special Court Kathmandu on Friday against the three defendants demanding punishment as per the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 (2002 A.D).
