By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 7: The National Planning Commission (NPC) has started conducting provincial-level discussion after forming separate teams for the preparation of the 16th plan.
The NPC has formed teams and mobilised them for discussion in all seven provinces. According to the NPC, the team of NPC has been conducting discussions in various places, including Madhes, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Province from Monday.
The Chief Ministers of the province along with representatives of the local level and the private sector also participated in the discussion that took place in Janakpur today.
According to Yamlal Bhusal, spokesperson of the NPC, teams have been mobilised in all the provinces under the leadership of the members of the NPC regarding the draft of the 16th plan.
Due to the recent natural disaster, the programme has been postponed in Karnali Province. The NPC teams have been deployed in all the remaining provinces.
According to Bhusal, discussion programmes will be conducted on Monday and Tuesday in Hetauda of Bagmati Province, Janakpur of Madhes Province and Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim Province.
For this, a separate team under the leadership of members of the commission Dr. Prabhu Budhathoki, Dr. Jay Kant Raut, Dr. Ram Kumar Phuyal and Dr. Anita Shah Dhungana have been mobilised.
The NPC said that the discussion programme will be held in Biratnagar of Koshi Province and Butwal of Lumbini Province on November 9 and 10.
According to him, the team under commission member Dr. R. P. Bichha and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Paudel have been mobilised for these two provinces.
The commission said that it will prepare the 16th five-year plan by incorporating suggestions from the provincial government, local government and private sectors.
