Emergency Telecommunicaton Cluster on alert

By TRN Online, Kathamndu, Nov 4: Emergency Telecommunication Cluster (ETC) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has been put in alert by the goverment. 

The ETC got into active operation after of decision of the meeting chaired by Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma this afternoon.

The meeting took decison to request the service provider to activate telephone and internet service in earthquake affected area and Nepal Telecommunication Authority will help for its coordination, monitoring and mobilization of resources accordingly. 

Also meeting took decison to appoint Liaison person who will be engage actively in contact.

Communication expert Narendra KC informed that the meeting took decision to appeal all the medium of communication and social media to disseminate factual and authentic news
