By Our Correspondent,Deukhuri, Oct. 22: The land reserved by Lumbini Provincial government for the construction of its capital has been released without land plotting on Wednesday. Santosh Kumar Pandey, Spokesperson and Minister for Home Affairs, Lumbini Province, informed that the meeting of the Provincial Council held on October 18 decided to release the reserved land.
The government informed by holding a press conference on Friday that the land reserved for the construction of province capital was released.
The government had formed a committee to determine the conditions to release the reserved land.
According to the decision of the committee, there would be no adverse impact on land integration if there was no land acquisition. Based on the report, a meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee of the Provincial Infrastructure Development Authority decided to release the reserved land on Friday.
The decision also states that all the lands of Rapti Rural Municipality, Garhwa Rural Municipality and some wards of Arghakhanchi district's Shitaganga Municipality were released for the construction of provincial capital without land plotting.
Province Capital Master Plan aims to implement the concept of a developed city based on river civilization through urbanization on both banks of the Rapti River.
I decided to release the purchase and sale of the land in the capital on the basis that sole ownership of the land will remain in place until the repurchase and sale of land is stopped, Pandey said.
It has been decided to publish the notice of land seizure in accordance with section 7 of the Infrastructure Development Authority Act, 2077, so that any type of building, land, etc. cannot be exchanged in any way or divided or new structures cannot be built.
