Dr. Adhikari to support for school uniforms of three boys

By Our Correspondent,Kalikot, Oct. 21: Dr. Bishwojeet Adhikari of Satya Sai Centre in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, has provided economic support to the three fatherless children of Narharinath Rural Municipality in Kalikot district to buy school uniforms.

Dr. Adhikari has pledged the support of Rs. 10,000 for the three sons of the Batala family in Ward No. 6 of Narharinath. 

According to Dr. Adhikari, he has pledged support after reading about the condition of the children in the newspapers and online news sites of the publications of Gorkhapatra Corporation.

The Rising Nepal and Gorkhapatra Daily alongside their online news sites, around two weeks ago, had published a news story on the worrying situation of the three children. 

Impact of a news

Amit Batala, 10; Chakra Batala, 9; and Manoj Batala, 7; are currently living with their mother Supari Batala. 

Their father, Dan Bahadur Batala, died on August 27, 2022, after succumbing to bullet injuries.

Dan Bahadur got shot in his leg during the 2017 elections after a clash broke out between the cadres of the Biplav-led CPN, a party that was boycotting the elections, and security forces. However, Dan Bahadur was not involved in the fight from either side.

According to the locals, Dan Bahadur did not get proper medical care from the authorities while his family struggled for a proper two-day meal. After his death, the family is struggling more.

Dr. Adhikari said that he would send the money to the family after Dashain. 

Dr. Adhikari has earlier provided Rs. 10,000 for three children of Raskot, Rs. 5,000 for a patient in Palanta Hospital and Rs. 2,000 for the orphan children of Lalu after reading about their problems in the publications of Gorkhapatra Corporation.
