World Cup Qualifier: Nepal and Laos share points

Kathmandu, Oct 12: Nepal came from behind to secure a point in the match held against Laos under World Cup Qualifier 2026.     

In the match held at Dasarath stadium, Tripureshwar, today, Laos took the lead in the 33rd minute of the first half. Laos captain Baulpachan Boyankong scored to give the visitors an early lead.     

Nepal leveled the score in the 49th minute of the match, thanks to a goal by Anjan Bista, who scored a header utilizing Erik Bista's corner kick.     

The second leg of the match between the two countries will be played in Laos on October 17. The winner of this match will advance to the second round of World Cup qualifiers. (RSS)
