Kathmandu, Oct 10: The Gandaki Province has won the title of the Birgunj Memorial Men's Open National Volleyball Competition by defeating the Nepal Police Club.
In the final match played at
Dhorpatan Sports Training Centre in Kathmandu, the Gandaki Province Team
defeated Nepal Police Club 3-1.
With the victory, the team Gandaki
Province received Rs 500,000 in cash while first runner up Nepal Police Club
got Rs 200,000 in cash.
General Secretary of Nepal
Communist Party Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' provided prizes to the winners and
asked the government to pay attention for the development of sports
sector.
Likewise, Biplav urged the
government to bring back Nepalis stranded in Israel with high priority. (RSS)
