By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that it will be impossible to create an environment and mindset for development and prosperity in the country without strong security organs and effective security measures.
Speaking at a passing out ceremony of the new inspectors of the Serial No. 15 of the Armed Police Force (APF) organised at the Training Academy in Matatirtha, Kirtpur, Prime Minister Prachanda said that for a strong and sovereign state, basic elements such as geography, people, accountable public state mechanism, independent economy, strong government are necessary.
"Only with the strength of the above factors, it is possible to move forward in a progressive direction by fulfilling the national aspirations of development and prosperity," said Prime Minister Prachanda.
PM Prachanda said that the newly pass-out inspectors will have their attention and focus on public service and security of the nation according to the instructions of the government under the constitution of Nepal and prevailing laws.
He expressed the opinion that enhancing the capacity of security personnel, availability of resources, strong organisational system and management are important aspects to make the roles and responsibilities performed by the Armed Police Force more specific and effective.
All of us should pay attention to manpower, resources, physical infrastructure and other improvements to further develop the organisation as a modern and professional security agency, the Prime Minister said. The government of Nepal is fully positive and remains supportive for the professionalism of APF to become the more modern and equipped force, said Premier Prachanda.
The organisation (APF) has been entrusted with specific, important and special tasks by the state. Therefore, in order to efficiently fulfil the responsibilities provided by the state, the organisation needs to pay special attention to the leadership capabilities of the human resources.
Altogether 49 newly enrolled individuals passed out the training of inspector from the 15th batch, according to SSP Rajendra Khadka, who is also the spokesperson for the APF.
