Grand premiere of Rangeli to be held in Australia

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 25:The upcoming film ‘Rangeli’, whose shooting is now in progress,  will have its grand premiere in Australia. 

Executive producer Jeetendra Khatiwoda has revealed that the movie, scheduled for release in Nepal on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri on March 8, will have its premiere in Australia during the last week of January.

A team comprising Nepali actors will travel to Australia for the premiere event, which is expected to be attended by prominent Nepali figures, diplomats, journalists, and filmmakers. It has also been mentioned that the movie will premiere in the United States prior to its release.

Khatiwoda stated that the film would be simultaneously screened for general audiences in various countries around the world where Nepali communities reside, including Australia, on the same date its release in Nepal.

‘Rangeli’ written and directed by Arjun Subedi, boasts a star-studded cast including Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa, Prabin Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki, and others. 

The film is currently being shot in Rangeli, Karsiya, Katahari, Biratnagar and Birtamod in Koshi province.

One unique aspect of the film is that a song, composed by Sushant Gautam, will be shot live with the renowned 'Budhapest Orchestra' in Europe, marking the first time a Nepali movie has undertaken such an endeavour.
