Nishan to direct Muna

Kathmandu, Sept 15 : Video director and editor Nishan Ghimire is all set to direct Muna, a feature film. 

He has been in the entertainment industry for 21 years as a video editor, director and colourist.

The screenplay of Muna is currently in development and is expected to be completed soon and once the script is ready, casting will begin, Ghimire said. 

Nishan has also taken the helm as the director for the television show Nepal Spell Bee Season 5, 6, 7, which features Bhushan Dahal as the host. Kantipur Television is going to air this show.

Since 2002, Nishan has honed his craft in a variety of mediums, including films, music videos, documentaries, commercials, and TV shows. 

His expertise extends to graphic design, television production and screenplay writing.

He has also produced over 150 music videos so far. Throughout his illustrious career, Nishan has edited over 6,500 music videos and contributed to popular TV shows like Quiz Mania seasons 1 to 6 and Public Speaker Season 1. 

He has been an instrumental figure in post-production for films like Zindagi Rocks, Guru Dakshina, Signature, Mero Katha, and many more, handling editing and colour correction tasks.

In 2018, Nishan received an honour from the then President Bidya Devi Bhandari for the environmental song Melancoli composed in the voices of various singers. This song set a world record.

He has bagged numerous awards for his video editing and direction, such as the Sparsh Music Video Award, Himalayan International Award 2022, Bindabasini Music Award and many more.
