Kathmandu, Sept 8: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi has directed civil servants to carry out result-oriented work. Addressing a programme organised here today on the occasion of the 20th Civil Service Day, the minister stressed the need for government workers to work professionally and creatively for development, prosperity and good governance.
The role of civil administration in
the completion of election, the successful handling of natural disasters and
crisis, and the better management of political transitions is laudable, said
the minister.
Saying the role of the Federal
Civil Service Act is important to consolidate the federal administration
system, she said the Federal Civil Service Bill has been moved ahead by the
Ministry of General Administration as the Act has been delayed due to various
technical reasons.
The Act will be implemented soon
after its passage from the parliament. The minister expressed the hope that
following the implementation of the Act, uncertainties not only in the federal
civil service but also from the province to local levels would end.
She also expected cooperation of
all to get the Act passed. The General Administration Minister directed civil
servants working at the federal, provincial and local levels, to serve the
country and people with discipline and commitments while pursuing prosperity
and good governance.
