President offers wreath at statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah
Kathmandu, Jan.11: President Ramchandra Paudel laid the wreath at the statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah in front of the West Main Gate to Singha Durbar on the occasion of the Prithivi Jayanti on Saturday.
Today marks the 303rd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, who initiated the national unification campaign in 1743. Therefore, Prithvi Jayanti is celebrated every year in honor of the nation-builder.
