blog

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Aug. 29: Singer Samikshya Adhikari has lodged complaints against four Facebook pages for disseminating misleading information about her.

On Sunday, she filed a cybercrime complaint stating that she was subjected to mental torture over the delay in getting her Australia visa.

A resident of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality in Kaski, Adhikari filed her complaint with the Cyber Bureau at the District Police Office, Kaski.

In response to rumours suggesting she had been blacklisted by Australia, Adhikari took to her official Facebook page to clear the air.

She shared an image of her complaint, informing her followers of the steps she has taken.

Adhikari wrote, “Contrary to the wrong information circulating on social media about my delay in obtaining an Australian visa due to documentation issues, I have approached the District Police Office, Kaski, to lodge a formal complaint. It's disgraceful for anyone to jeopardise another’s reputation for their gain without verifying facts.”
