Traffic resumes in landslide-obstructed Prithvi Highway

Damauli (Tanahun) :  The landslide-obstructed Mauribazaar section of Tanahun, Myagde-6 along the Prithvi Highway has reopened.    

Two-way traffic has resumed in the highway after clearance of landslide debris. The landslide that has occurred at Mauribazaar since 7.00 am this morning disrupted the road traffic.    

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Tanahun, Mohan Bahadur Khand informed the highway traffic has resumed after removing landslide debris with the help of two dozers in coordination with local governments, disaster management police force and Chinese Company.    

Landslide vulnerability has increased in Tanahun section of the Prithvi Highway due to incessant rain since past couple of days. (RSS)
