By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 11: The office-bearers of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party on Thursday discussed the issue of the House of Representatives' obstruction by the CPN-UML.
A meeting of the party office-bearers held at the personal residence of the NC president and its parliamentary party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba in Dhumbarahi also discussed the arrest of the party lawmaker Sunil Sharma as well.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, NC chief whip Ramesh Lekhak informed that the party was taking initiatives to end House obstruction.
The party's Parliamentary Party meeting scheduled for Friday will discuss the issues in detail, Lekhak added.
The party also said it would give views on the arrest of NC lawmaker Sunil Sharma after studying the issue. The Police had taken Sharma into custody on the charge of possessing a fake academic certificate.
Lekhak said the party would make its view public after collecting information about his arrest.
Meanwhile, NC President and Parliamentary Party (PP) leader Deuba has called the party’s Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting for Friday.
