Nepali researchers receive Best Paper Award-2022

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 9: Two geoscientists, Dr. Mandip Subedi and Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya, from Nepal, have been bestowed with the prestigious 'Best Paper Award 2022' by Geoenvironmental Disasters, a renowned and highly esteemed journal under the banner of Springer Nature Publications.

The remarkable accolade was conferred upon the two Nepali researchers during a ceremony held at Tongji University in Shanghai, China, by International Consortium on Geo-disaster Reduction (ICGdR) on August 6 in recognition of their exceptional contribution to the field of geoscientific research.

 These researchers are from Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. Their award-winning research paper is titled 'Liquefaction Hazard Assessment and Ground Failure Probability Analysis in the Kathmandu Valley.
