By Our Correspondent,Nepalgunj, Aug. 8: The Nepali Superstar Dancing and Singing Competition is all set to take place in Nepalgunj, with preliminary auditions kicking off in several locations, including Banke, Bardiya and Dang.
Organised by the RKV Dance and Arts Centre and Hancock Entertainment House, this event promises to showcase exceptional talents not just from Nepal, but also from India.
Ritesh Gautam, Managing Director of Hancock Entertainment House, said that the first audition would take place in Kohalpur on September 2, followed by a second major audition in Nepalgunj on September 8.
Gautam said that the grand finale would be held in Nepalgunj, with the combined prize for both singing and dancing categories amounting to a total of Rs. 100,000 along with a gift hamper.
Rajan Kumar Baishya, Managing Director of the RKV Dance and Art Centre, announced that participants would not be required to sell tickets for the competition. He expressed concerns about recent trends where the best performer is chosen based on ticket sales rather than pure talent, leading to disputes between organisers and the arts sector.
They have decided to break away from such traditions and base their selection solely on artistic merit, he added.
