By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 2: Harish Niraula has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the newly launched ride-sharing app Sawaari.

Developed by young Nepali innovators, the service was announced in Kathmandu on Monday.

Sawaari stands out among other ride-sharing apps, especially those originating in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, by extending its services to numerous major cities across the country.

Speaking at the event, actor Niraula said that available ride-sharing apps typically involve foreign investment, resulting in the flight of financial resources from Nepal.

He emphasised that Nepali youth developed the new ride-sharing app and urged everyone to use it.

Niraula pledged his commitment to promoting the app and expressed his confidence in its ability to fully satisfy both its users and customers.

The event’s special guest, Deepak Acharya ‘Kaku’, shared his conviction that Sawaari would contribute to job creation in Nepal.

He urged support for local products and innovations.

The chief guest of the event, senior actor Nir Shah, expressed his belief that Sawaari has the potential to compete with other foreign ride-sharing companies by offering quality services.

He pointed out that foreign companies may resort to various tactics to increase their influence, even tarnishing Sawaari’s reputation. Shah advised the team of Sawaari to be cautious and prioritise providing safe, reliable, and trustworthy services to ensure their success in the market.

Prasidhha Nepal and Khagendra Nepal have jointly initiated this service.

At the event, Prasidhha Nepal, chief director of the app, expressed their commitment to delivering customers safely in a proficient and easy way.
