By Our Correspondent,Nepalgunj, July 28: Nepal’s first multiplex cinema hall with three screens, utilising the 'Three Way Dolby Atmos Sound System' and 'Four K Laser Projector' technology, has come into operation in Nepalgunj.
All three auditoriums in the cinema hall, known as ‘Cine Royale’, were imported from America.
Additionally, the projectors were brought in from Belgium, and the 3D system was sourced from Hong Kong.
Owner of the movie theater Dr. Rahul Thapa claimed that this is the first time in Nepal that such foreign technology has been utilised.
He said that for the first time in Nepal, recliners, loungers and slider seats have been installed for audience through the spectrum seating system from Malaysia.
According to Dr. Thapa, a cafeteria will be launched alongside the cinema hall, and plans are in place to gradually open a departmental store and various shopping outlets.
The movie theatre, which was constructed at a cost of around Rs. 250 million, has a comprehensive fire-proof system, implying that a robust security system has also been implemented.
Dr. Thapa stated that two halls can accommodate 250 audiences each, and one hall can house 150 spectators, with a total capacity of 650.
He remarked that Cine Royale has set a new standard for cinema theatres in Nepal due to its cutting-edge technology, luxurious seating, immersive sound, and grand ambience.
Maniram Sharma of Rupaidiha, India, said that the cinema hall, which is located near the Nepal-India border, will attract a significant number of Indian audience.
During the event, federal lawmaker Dhawal Shumsher Rana expressed his confidence that the new movie hall would attract a large number of audiences from both Nepal and India.
