Sushila Simkhada, Minister for Social Development and Health of Gandaki Provincial Government, visited the site for building the proposed trauma centre to confirm whether the place was suitable.

The 72 km Tanahun road section of the Prithvi Highway is an accident-prone area as accidents take almost every day along this road section, so the need for the trauma centre is felt, said Minister Simkhada.

He informed that the office of the rural municipality recommended the proposed land as the most suitable one to the health ministries of the provincial and federal governments.
The rural municipality office informed that the team including Minister Simkhada visited the site as a budget was allocated for the feasibility study by the Gandaki Province Government. Chairman Chuman clarified that the rural municipality would coordinate with the Provincial Government to build the trauma centre.
