33 colonels complete Higher Command Course

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 12: Thirty-three colonels of the Nepali Army have completed their Higher Command and Management Course (HCMC).

Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma concluded the training organised for the 11th batch amidst a function held at the Nepali Army War College, Nagarkot, on Monday. 

Delivering his concluding remarks, CoAS Sharma congratulated all the trainees for successfully completing the training which is given to only the officers of colonel ranks. 

General Sharma said that the training would make the learners more professional, and sophisticated, and enable them to fulfil the goals and objectives set by the leadership of the strategic level as commanders and staff at the operational level and to carry out the intensive responsibility of guiding the lower-level commanders in an excellent manner, read a statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information. 

Throughout the course, Colonel Basanta Bahadur Gautam became the Best Student Officer in the overall category. 

Similarly, for the Individual Research Paper, Colonel Subash KC and Basanta Bahadur Gautam jointly became first. 

Higher Command and Management Training is the highest level of training conducted for military officers in the Nepali Army.

Since 2015, a total of 305 officers including 10 women have successfully completed the course.
