Aadikabi Bhanubhakta Acharya remembered in Nepalgunj

By Our Correspondent,Nepalgunj, July 10A programme was organised in Nepalgunj to commemorate Aadikabi (pioneer poet) Bhanubhakta Acharya on Sunday. 

The event organised by the Shashwat Acharya Memorial Foundation saw the participation of writers, professors, teachers, and scholars from various disciplines.

Prof. Dr. Janardhan Sharma Acharya, the President of the Foundation, presided over the event. 

Sanat Regmi, former member secretary of Nepal Academy of Sciences, Shashiram Karki, and Mahananda Dhakal, members of the Academic Council, discussed the works of poet Bhanubhakta Acharya and the significant role he played in unifying Nepali society through the means of language.

Hari Prasad Timilsina, the president of Bheri Sahitya Samaj, Dr. Indra Bahadur Bhandari, vice-chancellor of Khajura Pragya Pratishthan, Khagend Giri, Lek Prasad Pyakurel, and others emphasised the paramount importance of Aadikabi Acharya's contribution to the development of the Nepali language and literature.

During the programme, local writers Nabin Abhilashi, Charitra Shah, Laxmi Basyal, Indira Gautam, Pushkar Rijal, Balkrishna Sharma, Man Bahadur Nepali, and Deep Panthi showcased their talent by reciting their poems.
