By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has vowed to intensify the fight against corruption even if the campaign against corruption leads to the collapse of the government.

"The government is working resolutely for good governance. We have initiated the fight against corruption, for instance the case of fake Bhutanese refugees. We will not give up the campaign against corruption even if we are compelled to leave the government," PM Prachanda pledged while receiving a 14-point memorandum from Press Center Nepal.

PM Prachanda, also Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), however, affirmed that there was no rift among the ruling coalition partners with regard to the anti-corruption initiative.

The PM also pointed at the need to make people know about the positive steps as well as the outcomes of the government works.

"We have been able to bring about many positive achievements. But I feel we have yet to work much to spread this message to the people. In many instances achievements have been ridiculed or presented in a distorted manner by the oppositions and the people have been barred from getting the truth. We have to cross such barriers," viewed PM Prachanda.

Referring to his recent India visit, Prime Minister Prachanda made it clear that the visit has been successful from every angles, be it the agreement on export of electricity to India, air route to Nepal through India or India's assistance with regard to Murrah buffalo bulls.

Speaking on the occasion, Maheshwor Dahal, in-charge of the PCN, viewed that the government has to work to establish positive outcomes of its works in the people. He also highlighted on the need for PCN members to work harder to reach out to the people with factual news and views related to the government's positive works.

Bishnu Sapkota 'Jugal', chairperson of Press Center Nepal, submitted the memorandum to PM Prachanda. Sapkota said that the  'attention-drawing' letter expresses solidarity with the government's drive against corruption and urges for proper management of proportional advertisement system. Office bearers of the PCN were present during the memorandum submission programme held at the PM's official residence at Baluwatar this morning.

PCN is submitting the memorandum to all levels of the government - the federal, the provincial and the local- today, according to PCN Chair Sapkota.
