By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 5: The shooting of the film ' Hashtag Maya' has begun in Bardiya. On the first day of filming, several scenes were shot in Bardiya National Park, located in the Lumbini Province.
The film will be shot for 14 days in Bardiya, according to executive producer, Anup Poudel. "We aim to capture the beauty of Nepal on the screen. Additionally, the setting of Bardiya is well-suited for the storyline and characters. We have allocated two weeks for filming in the location," said Poudel.
Director Rajiv Gurung is making his directorial debut with the film. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the first day. "We are following the schedule diligently. We are working on creating a thrilling movie and paying attention to every aspect," said Gurung.
The movie features a cast including Namrata Shrestha, Saruk Tamrakar, Roy Shrestha, Nikita Acharya, Kenipa Singh, Sudam CK and others.
The shooting will take place for 20 days in Kathmandu and five days in Dharan, informed the film unit.
Produced by Sharmila Thapa, the movie revolves around a love story. Lead actress Namrata Shrestha has undergone training to portray the character of an aerial yoga instructor.
"I have invested time to bring my character to life. In every movie, I strive to appear captivating on the screen. I am extremely excited about this film. We are attempting something new," said Namrata. Written by director Gurung and Ashutosh Shrestha, the cinematography of the movie is directed by Ujwal Joshi.
