FDB calls submissions for Children’s Film Festival

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 20: The Film Development Board, Nepal (FDB) has called for submissions of films to participate in the first National Children's Film Festival. 

The festival is scheduled in Dang from June 16 to 18.

 The festival aims to showcase educational and message-oriented films related to children.

To be eligible for participation, interested filmmakers must submit their applications to the Film Development Board by May 29. 

 According to a notice issued by the FDB on Friday, alongside the application, a copy of the examination certificate must be included.

 Documentaries, stories, and short films are all welcome to participate, read the notice. 

 The FDB has also announced that a portion of funds will be allocated as an incentive for the films selected for screening during the festival.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will feature various activities, including a competition based on film knowledge, a book exhibition, a photo exhibition, and a film dance competition.

 The festival coordinator, KL Budhathoki, said that the festival would also feature a segment 'Balabalika Sanga Bhuwan KC'.
