Tanahun, May 18 : Singer Sanjeev Singh Rana, known for his popular song ‘Dhan Mage Ta Chhaina’ has been actively involved in philanthropic activities, dedicating a portion of the income he made from singing to support various social causes.
On Tuesday, he extended his support to differently-abled children.
During his visit to Sindhu Basic School, located in Sange Sera, Vyas Municipality, Tanahun, Rana provided educational materials and food to children, including those with intellectual disabilities. This act of kindness benefited a total of 41 children, including 21 disabled children.Rana also delighted the children by performing several songs, including his popular tracks like ‘A Mero Mama,’ ‘One Two One Two,’ and "Dhan Mage Ta Chhaina.’
Born in Dubhung, Rishing Rural Municipality of Tanahun, Rana currently resides in Damauli, the headquarters of the municipality, while continuing his musical journey. Since winning the western star singing competition in 2009, he has been based in Mofusal and has been actively promoting music.
Rana has continuously been participating in various fairs and festivals. He has participated in festivals held across 47 districts to date. His talent has earned him prestigious accolades such as the Sagarmatha, Jai Prati, National Quality Entertainment, and Natyaswar awards.
Expressing his joy for being able to assist the underprivileged, Rana encouraged fellow artistes to contribute a portion of their earnings to similar philanthropic endeavors.
Assistant Headmaster Tara Bahadur Thapa expressed gratitude on behalf of the children, highlighting their happiness upon receiving support from Rana, who not only provided materials but also made them joyful through his performances.
