Body of missing man found on Dhaulagiri

By Our Correspondent,Myagdi (Beni), May 14: The body of a person missing for the past seven months has been found at the base camp of Mount Dhaulagiri in Myagdi.

Indra Singh Sherchan, a tourism businessman of the district who had gone to the mountain to look for the missing individual, told The Rising Nepal that the body of 27-year-old Dev Lama of Sindhupalchowk was found at an altitude of 5,000 metres on Saturday. A four-member team, including Sherchan, two officers of the Nepali Army and a relative of Lama’s, travelled to the camp three days ago to look for the missing man. Lama had reached the base camp with tourists on October 6, 2022 from the Four Season Mountain Trek agency. However, he got trapped in an avalanche and went missing.

His body was taken to Kathmandu by a helicopter on Saturday.
