By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 10: After participating in several famous festivals held around the world, 'Dakini' is set to be released in Nepali theatres on May 19.
Shatkon Arts, the producer of popular films like 'Talakjung vs Tulke', 'Jatra' and 'Mahapurush', is going to release the film in Nepali theatres.
The English version of this film is 'Looking for a Lady With Fangs and a Moustache'.
This film is a story of the search for a goddess mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures.
Nepali producers Rabindra Singh Baniya and Max Dipesh Khatri of Shatkon Arts are going to release the film in limited Nepali multiplex halls.
The director of the film, Khyentse Norbu (Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche), who is also a great teacher of Buddhism, is also coming to Nepal from America to release the movie.
This is Guru Rinpoche's fifth film.
Producer Max Dipesh Khatri said that Shatkon Arts was going to release the film soon after his arrival in Kathmandu.
Movie Lovers Group is also doing a special screening of the film on May 20.
Guru Rinpoche is also conducting a masterclass on 'Beauty is a Trap' at the Tourism Board. All the shooting of the film was done in Panauti and Patan.
In the film, Tibetan and Nepali languages are used with 60 per cent Tibetan.
Chiring Tasi from Vietnam and Tenzin Kunsel from America have done the main roles in the film.
Nepali actors like Karma Shakya, Divyadev and Rabindra Singh Baniya have also acted in it.
The film revolves around a young man of Tibetan origin, who is running a cafe in Kathmandu. One day, he gets some hints in a dream and his friend revealed the meaning of the dream that the young man would live for only seven days.
But, when he realises that the 'Dakini' can solve the crisis, the search for the goddess with a moustache and beard begins.
