Newly appointed CM, Ministers of Lumbini Province sworn in

By Bhuvan Karki, Rupandehi, April 28: The newly elected Chief Minister and ministers of Lumbini Province have taken the oath of office and secrecy on Friday.

Newly elected Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary and other three ministers, without any portfolios, took an oath of office and secrecy today.

The newly appointed ministers were sworn in before the Lumbini Province Chief Amik Sherchan at the provincial chief office in Butwal.

Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary as the new chief minister of the province as per Article 168(2) of the constitution on Thursday evening.

Chief Minister Chaudhary has appointed Dhan Bahadur Maskey of CPN (Maoist Center), Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party, and Santosh Pandey of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party as ministers without portfolios.  

Three ministers were sworn in without portfolios because of the disagreement between parties in the government for their share in ministerial posts.
